SITE MANAGER/FINISHING FOREMAN
Overview:
The role
We’re looking for a Finishing Foreman — or a General Site Manager with strong
finishing experience — to join our growing construction team in Norfolk. This
role is ideal for someone who takes pride in detail, thrives on problem-solving,
and enjoys bringing a project through its final, most quality-critical stages.
In addition to day-to-day site management, you will also oversee internal
finishes across live construction projects, ensuring quality, safety, and
programme alignment as we progress towards completion and handover.
Depending on experience, you may also support or lead wider site
management duties, including coordination of trades, logistics, and client
communication.
Current projects
The projects you will be working on initially will be to deliver much-needed
affordable housing and specialist elderly accommodation in either Stalham or
South Wootton.
Stalham
• Phase One: 61 Independent Living Extra Care Flats
• Phase Two: 34 houses
South Wootton
• 77 Independent Living Extra Care Flats
You’ll lead the on-site delivery from start to finish, working with internal teams
and external partners to make sure the job is completed safely, efficiently, and
to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
* Day-to-day site management, coordination, and supervision of subcontractors and trades
* Ensure health & safety is maintained to the highest standards at all times
* Oversee site logistics, scheduling, and sequencing of works
* Monitor quality and progress against programme
* Work closely with the Quantity Surveyor, Contracts Manager, and in-house Architect team
* Manage site documentation, toolbox talks, and reporting
* Liaise with client representatives and local authorities as needed
* Help deliver a positive, proactive site culture
About You
* Proven experience as a Site Manager in residential or healthcare construction
* Track record of delivering multi-unit schemes
* Strong knowledge of construction methods, H&S, and site management best practice
* SMSTS, First Aid and CSCS qualifications essential
* Excellent communication and leadership skills
* Willingness to travel to projects across our core regions (East Anglia, South, Midlands)
* Full UK driving licence required
