Euro London’s client, an established international leader in materials science solutions and polymers, is currently looking for an experience Quality Manager to join them in their Lincoln office.

The position combines ensuring that the interests of customers and stakeholders are understood and respected, using appropriate methodologies to protect and enhance the company and product’s reputation on the market.

Main responsibilities and categories

Business ( Internal) assurance

1. Ensuring the down-flow of customer and stakeholder requirements across the organisation.
2. Uses understanding of requirements management, process implementation and tailoring principles, risk management and performance measurement to ensure effective planning and internal controls are in place.
3. Uses appropriate methods to ensure and effective balance of self-assurance against independent assurance.
4. Ensures management intent, as reflected in its policies, processes and plans is effectively implemented.
5. Identifies risks, failures and non-conformity associated with customer and stakeholder requirements and ensures effective action is taken to resolve any issues and to identify the root causes.

Supply Chain assurance:

6. Ensures appropriate methods are used to select suppliers and to ensure flow-down

of customer and stakeholder requirements to the organisation’s supply chain.

7. Uses appropriate methods to assess supplier performance and to identify risk, failure and non-conformance.
8. Supports the organisation in evaluating any problems and risks, and in the development of appropriate mitigation and solutions.
9. Ensures solutions are managed to closure.

External focus:

10. Uses appropriate methods to establish customer/stakeholder needs/expectations and views.
11. Ensures that the organisation’s policies, processes and plans reflect these needs.
12. Evaluates risks, problems and potential solutions from a customer/stakeholder point of view.

Internal focus:

13. Develops process management capability (ownership, definition, implementation

and improvement) across the organisation to deliver consistent results.

14. Ensures the organisation’s policies, processes and plans are effective in meeting stakeholder expectations, removing variation, minimising operational risk and maximising efficiency.
15. Supports the senior leadership team in ensuring that the operational approach

and system of business management are continually assessed and improved.

Gathering insight:

16. Uses appropriate methods to understand all stakeholder needs and to identify any changes to the organisation’s context including changes to the market, customer requirements and other factors impacting on the organisation.
17. Uses benchmarking and other appropriate tools and techniques to evaluate performance and improvement priorities.

Evaluating measures/results:

18. Facilitates the development and use of appropriate measures of operational performance and product/service quality across the organisation to ensure fact-based decision-making.
19. Helps establish priorities for change.

Implementing change:

20. Evaluates the nature and magnitude of change required (incremental, step change, transformational) and how to achieve the required changes through the development of the organisation’s people, processes, tools, technologies and/or infrastructure.
21. Identifies any issues associated with the organisation’s culture with respect to achieving and sustaining the desired levels of operational performance and product/service quality.

Qualifications

22. HNC/ Degree in a Technical or Manufacturing subject or equivalent professional level qualification

Skills & Knowledge

23. Extensive experience working in QA/QC with the appropriate technical background (engineering preferred).
24. Auditor Level trained and certified according to international Quality Management System standards, ISO 90012015.
25. Familiar with IS9001 and AS9100 standards.
26. Consistent record in auditing and QA implementation.
27. Capable of being a change agent, driving teams to higher performance, challenging status quo, and proactively addressing gaps
28. Strong skills in QA/QC strategy development, planning and execution
29. Experience of implementing and maintaining a QMS
30. Six sigma training (ideally black belt)
31. Strong communicator internally and in liaison with demanding OEM customers
32. Demonstrate leadership ability to coach and build self confidence in team
