Responsibilities
* Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications
* Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner, maintaining high standards of quality and presentation
* Assist in meal preparation and planning, including ingredient sourcing and inventory management
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations
* Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations and effective communication
* Participate in menu development, offering creative ideas for new dishes or improvements to existing ones
* Provide exceptional service during meal service, ensuring guest satisfaction
Experience
* Previous experience in a kitchen environment is essential, with a strong background in food preparation and cooking
* Culinary qualifications or relevant training are highly desirable
* Familiarity with food safety practices and regulations is necessary to maintain a safe working environment
* Experience in a restaurant setting is advantageous, particularly in high-volume operations
