We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to join a well-established London developer on a major construction scheme in Wembley. The successful candidate will take responsibility for managing site operations through the heavy groundworks and substructure phases, including piling, drainage, and infrastructure works, ensuring delivery to programme, quality, and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day site operations during enabling works, groundworks, piling, drainage, and substructure phases.

Coordinate subcontractors, plant, materials, and labour to meet programme milestones.
*
Ensure works are delivered safely in accordance with HSE regulations, company policies, and method statements.
*
Maintain high-quality standards and ensure works comply with drawings and specifications.
*
Monitor progress against programme and report regularly to the Project Manager / Contracts Manager.
*
Chair daily briefings, toolbox talks, and subcontractor coordination meetings.
*
Oversee temporary works, permits, inspections, and site logistics.
*
Liaise with engineers, surveyors, local authorities, and utility providers.
*
Manage site documentation including RAMS, permits, inspections, and progress reports.
*
Identify and resolve technical issues quickly and efficiently.
*
Support commercial and planning teams with progress updates and sequencing input.
*
Maintain excellent site housekeeping and public interface standards.
Candidate Requirements
*
Proven experience as a Site Manager on large-scale projects, ideally residential or mixed-use.
*
Strong background in heavy groundworks, piling, drainage, and substructure works.
*
Ability to manage multiple subcontractors in a high-pressure environment.
*
Excellent knowledge of construction sequencing and site logistics.
*
Strong understanding of health & safety legislation and best practice.
*
Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and programmes.
*
Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
*
SMSTS, CSCS (Black/Gold), and First Aid certificates required.
*
Temporary Works Coordinator qualification desirable.
*
Right to work in the UK.
