An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Association of Colleges (AoC) as an HR Officer on a fixed-term basis, providing essential cover within a high-performing HR team. This role supports the delivery of efficient, high-quality HR and payroll services across the full employee lifecycle.
Responsibilities
As an HR Officer, you will play a key role in the day-to-day delivery of HR operations, acting as the central point of contact for employees, managers and external stakeholders. You will coordinate recruitment campaigns, support onboarding processes and ensure a positive experience for candidates and new starters.
You will support monthly payroll processes, maintain accurate HR and payroll data, and respond to employee queries in a timely and professional manner. Your attention to detail will underpin effective reporting and compliance across HR activities.
The role also involves working with HR systems, including HRIS, payroll and recruitment platforms, ensuring data accuracy and supporting ongoing system and process improvements.
You will collaborate with colleagues across HR, finance and the wider organisation to ensure a consistent and efficient service. In addition, you will contribute to HR communications, training coordination and employee engagement activity, supporting a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
Candidate Profile
We are looking for a proactive and organised individual with strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills and the ability to manage a varied workload with discretion and professionalism.
