Painter and General Handyman
MAYS Management is a dynamic property management company managing a diverse portfolio of mixed use, commercial and residential properties. Our Regent Centre office is looking for an additional part-time Painter and General Handyman to join our team.
You will be working closely with the Centre Manager and our established team, will be able to multi-task effectively and work well under pressure. A big part of the job role will focus on the day to day smooth operation of the buildings. Therefore, you will need to be able solve problems quickly and effectively, think 'outside the box' and won't be afraid to use your initiative. Overall promoting a great impression and professional service.
Your role will include:
General Skills and Duties
· Report and liaise with Centre Managers, and Head Office
· Maintain personal hygiene, health & safety
· Use of hand tools
· Use of personal protective equipment
· Maintain a positive public image
· Painting of communal areas, offices and residential apartments as required
· Take pride in the condition of the premises and assist in its upkeep and cleanliness
· Replenish supplies as and when required
· Report lighting failures and replace light bulbs and/or fittings as appropriate
· Report dangerous building fabric issues
· Report and attend to blocked gullies and drains
· Report and attend damaged signs
· Maintain corporate notices, notice boards and signage
· Maintain site bin stores
· Support on-site Serviced Office and Lettings Staff
· Report all maintenance issues to reception staff or the centre manager
· Office furniture removal and building
· Assist external contractors as required
· Replacing carpet tiles as needed
· Attending leaks to prevent damage and/or report for external contractor as needed
· Unblocking drains where possible and/or report for external contractor as needed
· Any other ad hoc duties
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: £12.50-£14.00 per hour
Expected hours: 16 – 32 per week
