Business Development – Freight Forwarding Sales Executive
Location: Basildon, Essex
Salary: £30,000 to £45,000 basic plus uncapped commission
OTE: £35,000 to £55,000
Job Type: Permanent, Full Time
Working Pattern: Office, home and client visits
Noble Recruiting are currently recruiting for a Freight Forwarding Sales Executive role on behalf of a growing and well-established logistics business based in Basildon, Essex.
Key Responsibilities
* Generate new business opportunities across freight forwarding services
* Identify, target and win new customers across sectors including retail, furniture, e commerce and manufacturing
* Build and manage a healthy pipeline of prospective clients
* Use tools such as Apollo, LinkedIn and CRM systems to support lead generation and outreach
* Book and attend face to face meetings with prospective customers
* Understand customer supply chains, challenges and requirements
* Present tailored freight solutions and strong value propositions
* Convert quotations into live business
* Negotiate rates, margins and commercial terms
* Build long term client relationships and encourage repeat business
* Work closely with pricing and operations teams to ensure a smooth handover of new accounts
* Maintain a high level of service from the start of each client relationship
* Keep up to date with freight market trends, rates, BAF and industry disruption to support commercial positioning
