We’re looking for a Food Technologist who can bridge the gap between creative product vision and commercial reality.
What you’ll be doing
You’ll play a central role in shaping and safeguarding our clients Dairy, Bakery and Proteins product range:
1. Define excellence: Create and manage “gold standard” product and raw material specifications—covering taste, texture, appearance, and shelf life
2. Own quality & compliance: Ensure all products meet UK food regulations (including allergen labelling and safety standards)
3. Champion supplier quality: Approve, audit, and build strong relationships with suppliers and partners
4. Drive continuous improvement: Use data and insights to reduce waste, improve shelf life, and elevate product quality
5. Lead quality management: Oversee intake and production checks to ensure consistency with agreed benchmarks
6. Support innovation: Collaborate with buying and marketing teams to develop sustainable, mission-led products
What you’ll bring
7. Solid grounding in food production and safety (HACCP Level 3, Food Safety Level 3 minimum)
8. Experience with supplier auditing and UK food standards
9. Strong sensory evaluation skills and an eye for detail
10. Ability to run shelf-life and microbiological assessments
11. A data-driven mindset with a passion for continuous improvement

Vital experience and qualifications
16. Experience in fresh or short shelf-life food categories
17. Knowledge of dairy, protein, or bakery sectors
18. A degree in Food Science, Technology, or Nutrition
