Job Title: Site Manager -Fire ProtectionLocation:Shepshed
Thorn Baker has teamed up with one of the UK's leading property maintenance and refurbishment groups. A national presence serving sectors such as social housing, defence, hotel and leisure, healthcare, and education, with a turnover of c.£250m and around 1,000 employees, they have grown significantly over the last few years. To support their continued and ambitious growth plans to double in size in the next 4 years, they are seeking a Site Manager to join theirteam.

Your Responsibilities:
4. Managing the day to day running of projects including sub-contractors on site
5. Review client instructions and schedules with a full understanding of what the project entails/requires
6. Read and interpret construction drawings and designs
7. Undertake site inspections to ensure high standards of work and H&S are maintained
8. Management of labour and materials on site to ensure project deadlines can be met
9. Adhering to Health & Safety rules and quality control
10. Identify project variations and communicate back to the contracts manager
11. To develop excellent relationships with clients and colleagues
12. Ensure all client enquiries/issues are dealt with in a timely manner
13. Facilitating team meetings to include performance/operational delivery/H&S information, Company updates and relevant training and guidance
14. Carry out inspections of completed works and evidence, sign off using app-based systems(egBolster).
Required Skills:
15. Previous experience in supervising and managing fire protection projects.
16. Experienced in working in occupied environments.
17. Valid FIRAS Accreditations
18. Valid SMSTS certificate.
19. Ability to interpret drawings and specifications
20. Work towards tight deadlines and programming skills and reporting processes.
21. Ability to oversee and manage all Health and Safety procedures and processes.
22. Competent in Microsoft packages - Word, Excel and Outlook
23. Knowledge and understanding of site procedures and practices
24. Ability to effectively manage and communicate with a team and the Client
25. Good commercial awareness, ability to identify variations to contracts
26. Extensive knowledge of passive fire doors/fire stopping
