The Role
As a HR Officer, you will:

Provide day-to-day HR administrative support to the school leadership team

Maintain accurate staff records, contracts, and personnel files
*
Support recruitment processes including advertising, shortlisting coordination, and onboarding
*
Manage pre-employment checks, including DBS, right-to-work, and reference checks
*
Assist with absence monitoring, staff attendance, and HR reporting
*
Support payroll processes by liaising with external providers
*
Ensure compliance with school policies, safeguarding, and employment legislation
*
Act as a professional point of contact for staff HR queries
*
Use school HR systems and MIS platforms accurately and confidentially
About You
*
Previous experience working in a school setting is essential
*
Experience in HR administration, personnel, or school office roles
*
Strong understanding of safeguarding and compliance within education
*
Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
*
Confident handling sensitive information with discretion
*
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
*
Proficient in Microsoft Office and school MIS systems
*
Reliable, proactive, and able to work independently
