Our client Scottish Power Transmissions are currently recruiting for a Site Manager to join their team across the Central Belt on a contract basis initially. Ideally for this role they are looking for an experienced Site Manager with a background in Civil, OHL or Cable works as well as having their SMSTS and full first Aid at works certs. The Site Manager role is a pivotal role within the HVDC Business with the responsibility for managing Construction outputs during the delivery phase of EGL-1 Project.
Accountability Statements
• Lead the on-site management and delivery of contracted work. Manage the works acting as Client representative to ensure regulatory compliance with Health & Safety Law and CDM regulations 2015.
• Ensure Constructability and working methods are interpreted and aligned with Engineering Design scope, drawings, and standards, providing technical expertise and management of work packages.
• Oversee the commercial management and administration of each work package including measuring & monitoring of time and cost against agreed delivery strategy.
• Manage contracted works and collaborate with Transmission Planning and Operational teams to establish safe work practices and minimise the impact on the high voltage system.
