Opportunity
We are hiring an ambitious and forward‑thinking Quality Manager to join our growing team at Heathrow. You will manage and deliver the quality management system at a project level, support the project team in compliance, manage the supply chain’s implementation of management systems, and drive continuous improvement in line with Aviation division requirements.
Project Focus
Refurbishment of passenger areas, security compliance improvements, MEP refurbishment, and extension of the serviceability lifespan of existing buildings.
Responsibilities
* Review and monitor the effectiveness of the management system and propose improvements with the management team.
* Monitor the project delivery system, conduct compliance checks, and report on shortfalls.
* Assist in developing aviation‑specific management tools, guidance documents, and templates.
* Maintain the project‑specific audit programme and carry out internal audits on aviation systems.
* Audit the supply chain when required, recording results and feedback.
* Report on compliance via key performance indicators.
* Collect, collate, and provide KPI data for the aviation sector.
* Manage the continual improvement process (gap analysis) and lead lessons‑learned exercises.
* Support ISO management review meetings and the development of quality competencies for project staff.
* Develop and present training materials for aviation staff.
* Coordinate with external audits (client, BSI, etc.) and close out raised actions.
* Interface with the client’s management team at all levels to deliver client expectations.
* Represent Mace at client meetings on quality topics.
* Guide Project Managers on client quality expectations and assist with project quality systems.
* Approve supplier quality plans and ITPs.
* Provide guidance to the supply chain on quality expectations and help develop supplier QMSs.
* Develop peers’ skills and knowledge of quality requirements.
* Support business development on pre‑qualifications and tenders, especially for quality questions.
* Plan and deliver regular Quality Leadership Forums and produce presentation material.
* Facilitate the non‑conformance process, monitor corrective and preventive actions, and share lessons learned.
* Facilitate sample and benchmarking processes for projects.
* Support handover managers with asset technical data delivery and KPI data collation.
* Provide guidance to the supply chain on asset technical data expectations and develop supplier competence.
* Utilise a suite of delivery tools for effective asset technical data delivery.
* Support Handover Manager in developing project team skills and knowledge.
About You
* Hold a relevant degree qualification.
* Knowledge of ISO 9001, 14001 is desirable and QMS auditor training is required.
* Have at least 5 years of project experience, be digitally savvy, build lasting client relationships, and lead strong, motivated teams.
* Come from a construction or project management background and be eager to grow your career at Mace.
