Site Manager – New Build Housing
Location: Exeter, Devon (Long‑Term Opportunity)
Start Date: ASAP
About the Role: RG Setsquare is currently recruiting for an experienced and reliable Site Manager to join an established team delivering a new‑build housing development in Exeter. This is a fantastic opportunity for a proven Site Manager with a strong background in residential construction to take a leading role on a busy site, with the potential for a long‑term engagement and progression within future phases.
Key Responsibilities
* Day‑to‑day management of site operations to ensure programme, quality, and safety targets are met
* Coordinating trades, subcontractors, and suppliers
* Ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations and company policies
* Chairing regular site meetings with subcontractors and the site team
* Managing site documentation and reporting to senior management
* Liaising with NHBC and building control as required
* Monitoring and maintaining build quality throughout each stage
* Supporting the Assistant Site Manager and mentoring junior staff where necessary
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Site Manager on volume residential / housing projects
* SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) – Essential
* First Aid at Work – Essential
* CSCS Card – Essential (Black or White card)
* Strong leadership, organisation, and communication skills
* Confident in managing site logistics, programme, and subcontractors
* Ability to work proactively with technical drawings and specifications
* Knowledge of NHBC standards and regulations
