The Company Our client is an organisation supporting communities, social enterprise, and local regeneration across Northern Ireland. The Business Support Officer will play a key role in ensuring the operational and administrative effectiveness of the organisation, supporting senior staff, the wider team, and the Board. This role ensures that finance, administration, IT, membership, and project systems are efficient, enabling the organisation to deliver high-quality support to its members, partners, and stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Business Support & Administration Monitor and manage administrative inboxes and routine correspondence Maintain accurate records using CRM and electronic filing systems, compliant with data protection legislation Coordinate travel and accommodation for staff meetings, workshops, and events Schedule and support Board, subcommittee, and working group meetings Prepare and circulate meeting papers, take accurate minutes, and follow up on actions Maintain accurate records of income, expenditure, and financial transactions Process invoices, expenses, and supplier payments Support collation of financial data for internal reporting and funder claims Reconcile receipts and payments with bank statements Administer and maintain membership database Support member engagement through communications, renewals, and event invitations Support staff with IT troubleshooting and system use (Office 365, SharePoint, membership portals) Assist with preparation of funding applications and monitoring reports Maintain project tracking and ensure timely submission of returns Support coordination of events, workshops, and training sessions The Person Essential Criteria Experience in administrative or business support roles, including finance and governance support Strong IT literacy, particularly Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint) Experience maintaining databases and digital filing systems Experience supporting governance processes such as Board or committee meetings Excellent organisational, problem-solving, and communication skills Experience working in a not-for-profit or membership organisation - Desirable Familiarity with accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, Sage) - Desirable Package & Benefits Hours: 37.5 hours per week Location: Belfast office; hybrid working possible in line with business needs Opportunity to work in a mission-driven organisation supporting community ownership and regeneration Collaborative and supportive team culture How to Apply To apply for this role, submit your CV via the application form provided.
