About The Team
This an exciting opportunity to start as a Data Visualisation Developer as part of the newly formed Data Visualisation team. This newly formed team are focussed on unlocking insights through data, utilising visualisation platforms to present data that enhances performance, that is ready and actionable and is understood by all.
A team of storytellers, innovators, and problem solvers, this team will look to move quickly, and leverage key Microsoft platforms (PowerBI, PowerAutomate, PowerApps, SharePoint etc.) to maximise the insights provided to both sales and non-sales staff, to enrich their role with hindsight, insight and foresight, utilising the best parts of Softcat's internal data, as well as data from trusted key providers.
Your Role
In this role you will be creating new visualisations for key stakeholders and personas, understanding their requirements and the behaviours they are looking to drive through insights, and, through working alongside the wider data strategy, deliver proof of concept dashboarding aimed specifically at the target audience.
Additionally, you'll support the wider governance of the data visualisation estate, specialising in two of the seven data domains initially, but with longer term potential to focus down to one. You'll also assist in driving enablement and utilisation of any platforms you create and provide relevant usage metrics to your stakeholders.
What You'll Be Doing
* Representing the Data Visualisation Team in your offices
* Developing Storyboards of User Experience
* Examining Data structure and creating models
* Building PowerBi Dashboards to support strategic objectives.
What We Need From You
* Experience working in a busy environment handling multiple work streams
* Experience with key Microsoft Platforms (PowerBI, PowerAutomate, PowerApps, SharePoint etc.)
* Experience articulating complex concepts succinctly, telling a story through data
* Data Management Experience is desirable.
