Overview
EMJ Plastics is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Executive to join our team, focusing on promoting and selling Permadec UK products. The Sales Executive will play a crucial role in expanding our market share, fostering strong client relationships, and driving revenue growth within the construction sector.
Established in the 1960s, EMJ Plastics has been manufacturing GRP products for the construction industry for over 60 years. Located in Scunthorpe, EMJ is the UK's leading manufacturer of GRP Permanent Bridge Deck Formwork and has worked with most major UK construction companies and engineering consultants.
Responsibilities
* Sales Strategy: Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve sales targets and penetrate the market effectively.
* Product Promotion: Promote Permadec UK products and solutions to contractors, architects, engineers, and other relevant stakeholders within the construction industry.
* Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with existing and potential clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.
* Market Research: Conduct thorough market research to identify potential customers, market trends, and competitive landscape to inform sales strategies and product positioning.
* Pipeline Management: Manage sales pipelines, including lead generation, qualification, and conversion, utilising CRM tools effectively.
* Technical Expertise: Develop a deep understanding of Permadec UK products, their applications, and benefits to effectively communicate value propositions to customers.
* Collaboration: Collaborate closely with internal teams such as marketing, product development, and customer support to ensure alignment and maximise sales opportunities.
* Reporting: Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts, and analyses to track performance against targets and identify areas for improvement.
Experience
* Proven track record of success in sales, preferably within the construction or building materials industry.
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence decision-makers.
* Strong business acumen and strategic thinking, with the ability to identify and capitalize on market opportunities.
* Self-motivated and results-oriented, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
* Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
