The Individual:
We are seeking an experienced sales executive to join our team in a newly established role within our business development team. The position will initially be based in our Canterbury office, allowing the successful candidate to gain a comprehensive understanding of this unique travel sector and the company. There will be the potential for remote work following the initial onboarding period.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in sales, with experience and knowledge of the travel industry considered advantageous. This role has been created to expand our customer base and will involve the independent generation of sales leads, as well as the professional engagement with prospective maritime companies.
This position will necessitate frequent travel across various regions of the United Kingdom, as well as potential trips to additional international locations. The role will involve visiting clients, attending meetings, and participating in industry events, all of which will require flexibility to accommodate schedules and responsibilities.
The ability to work independently is crucial, as this role allows for flexibility and self-motivation in managing tasks and responsibilities. However, it is equally important to engage and collaborate with the broader team
To qualify for the position, you must hold a full and valid UK driving licence and be eligible to work in the UK.
Departmental responsibilities:
Working with our Key Account Executive to:
-Identify and pursue potential sales leads to drive business growth.
-Open customer accounts in strict adherence to company procedures.
-Ensure that the customer database is kept current and precise.
-Contribute to the creation of marketing materials
-Regularly maintain and update the sales information package to ensure relevance and accuracy.
-Assist in the development and design of ongoing social media content to enhance online presence.
-Represent the company at various exhibitions, events, and conferences to foster relationships and promote services.
-Work within company budgets to achieve company strategies.
Individual responsibilities:
-Develop and deliver comprehensive presentations of services to prospective clients.
-Follow up on leads and coordinate meetings, utilizing virtual platforms such as Teams or arranging in-person discussions as appropriate.
-Agree management reporting requirements with new customers
