Plaisterers' Hall is seeking a driven, polished, and motivated Sales Executive to join our warm and dynamic team. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced events environment and is confident managing the full sales cycle - from first enquiry through to conversion.
As part of the Plaisterers' Hall sales team, you will respond to corporate and private enquiries, host show rounds, prepare tailored proposals and convert reactive leads. You will be responsible for designing, pricing, and delivering profitable events that reflect both our clients' vision and the prestige of our historic venue .
Success in this role requires a target-driven mindset, excellent relationship-building skills, meticulous organisation, and a passion for exceptional service.
Location: Plaisterers Hall, One London Wall, 1 London Wall, Barbican, London EC2Y 5JU
Rate of Pay: 32,000 per annum
Working Pattern: Predominantly Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, occasional weekend work depending on events (time given back in lieu)
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
Respond to and convert reactive event enquiries with some adhoc proactive sales.
Prepare tailored proposals, catering packages, and detailed event quotations.
Maintain a strong, sustainable pipeline of opportunities.
Represent Plaisterers' Hall at trade shows, exhibitions, and industry events to support new business growth.
Achieve and exceed sales targets across room hire, food & beverage, and associated revenue streams.
Proactively promote other venue in the portfolio when our venue does not fit the clients brief.
Supporting the wider team on site during absence.
Client Relationship Management
Act as the main point of contact for all new enquiries up to contract stage.
Build and nurture long-term relationships with corporate and private clients to encourage repeat business.
Conduct show rounds of Plaisterers' Hall.
Manage client expectations during the contracting process, meeting clients on their event day when needed.
About You
Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail and time-management skills.
Passionate about delivering memorable and seamless client experiences.
Experience in a fast-paced events, venue, sales, or catering environment (minimum 2 years).
Target-driven with a proactive and determined approach to winning and retaining business.
Confident in negotiation, closing sales, and adapting to varied client needs.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong presentation ability.
Proficient in administration, Microsoft Office, and CRM systems.
A collaborative team player with a positive, solutions-focused attitude.
Knowledge of the London events market or experience within historic or listed venues is desirable.
