We’re currently seeking a skilled and reliable Handy Man/Womanfor an exciting temp-to-perm opportunity involving fireplace rip-outs and installations. This role offers long-term potential for the right candidate and the chance to work on a variety of domestic projects alongside a qualified Gas Safe engineer.
Key Responsibilities:
* Carefully removing old fireplaces and surrounds
* Installing new fireplace units (various styles and materials)
* Assisting a Gas Safe engineer to ensure all installations meet safety and compliance standards
* Carrying out basic building works (e.g., making good, plastering, boxing in)
* Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
Requirements:
* Proven experience in a similar multi-trade role (e.g., carpentry, basic plastering, general building)
* Good understanding of safe working practices around gas appliances
* Ability to work efficiently as part of a team
* Own tools and transport preferred
* CSCS card desirable but not essential
