Job Description HR Officer/Assistant – 12 Month Fixed Term Contract Location: Belfast (multi-site travel required) Contract Type: 12 Month Fixed Term Contract Hours: 37.5 per week Working Pattern: Onsite 4 days per week Salary: Competitive We are recruiting for an HR Officer/Assistant (12 month FTC) to join a large, well-established, values-led organisation operating across Northern Ireland and ROI. This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy HR team, supporting operational sites during a key period. This HR Officer/Assistant role will suit a proactive HR professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced, operational environment, partnering closely with managers and supporting a wide range of HR operations and employee relations activities. It’s the perfect opportunity for a HR Assistant looking to make their next step into an Officer level role, or a HR Officer keen to build out their experience within a market leading organisation. Top Things to Know About This Job: 12-month fixed term contract within a large, respected organisation Broad HR Officer/Assistant role with strong exposure to employee relations and HR operations Onsite 4 days, operational role with multi-site interaction and variety The Role: Partner with the HR Business Partner team to deliver a full range of HR services across operations Provide HR administration support across the employee lifecycle including resourcing, onboarding, probation, offboarding, retirement, HR KPIs, payroll queries, and status changes Support managers with employee relations matters including investigations, disciplinary meetings and hearings, minute taking and drafting correspondence Assist in the delivery of engagement, communication and culture initiatives on site Provide support on HR-wide projects and initiatives Advise managers and employees on HR policies and procedures, ensuring consistency and fairness Coordinate, plan and support training and development activities, including identifying needs from annual reviews Support managers with performance management, absence management, engagement and problem solving Act as a point of contact for employees, providing guidance and support as required Maintain accurate employee records in line with GDPR and data protection requirements Build strong working relationships with managers, colleagues, and stakeholders across sites The Person: Third level qualification in HR or Business (or equivalent) CIPD qualified (or equivalent) Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar HR Officer / HR Operations role Strong working knowledge of employment legislation Excellent organisational skills Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels Confident, resilient team player who can adapt to change Full driving licence and flexibility to travel between sites The Rewards: Competitive salary Bonus 12-month FTC 37.5 hours per week 25 days holidays plus stat days Enhanced company pension scheme Free on-site car parking Continuous training and development Free car parking Opportunity to gain experience within a large, complex organisation Exposure to a wide range of HR operations and ER activities Supportive, collaborative HR team environment Career-enhancing experience within a respected employer Next Steps: For further information or to apply for this HR Officer/Assistant (12 month FTC) role, please contact Stephanie Mulholland.
