Earthworks Site Manager
Location: Maidstone
The Opportunity
ESD are recruiting for an experienced Earthworks Site Manager to lead a large-scale earthworks and muck shifting project in Kent. This is a significant scheme involving approximately 600,000m³ of material movement, offering long-term prospects for the right individual.
Earthworks / Geotechnical qualification (essential)
Key Responsibilities:
Running large-scale muck shifting activities safely and efficiently
Managing site teams and plant operations
Coordinating daily works and ensuring productivity targets are met
Maintaining accurate site records and documentation
Ensuring strict compliance with health & safety standards
Liaising with senior management and stakeholders
Overseeing and managing all site operations on a major earthworks project
Plant & Equipment Management:
You will be responsible for managing a fleet including:
2 x Excavators
8–10 x Articulated Dump Trucks
2 x Bulldozers
Compaction plant
Requirements:
Proven experience managing large-scale earthworks projects
Strong background in muck shifting operations
Earthworks / Geotechnical qualification (essential)
Demonstrable experience managing multiple items of heavy plant
Strong organisational and leadership skills
Excellent health & safety knowledge
