Overview
On Site Manager role at Delivery Mates. This position is responsible for effectively managing the resources within the area, including communication, planning (recruitment and driver rosters, working schedules, vehicle schedules, daily operational execution, finance; invoicing, debt collection, fixed and variable expenditure with checks and controls), and support functions. All activities should be delivered in a culture of continual improvement, delivering cost-efficient operations while adhering to operating financial policies, customer contracts, and key performance indicators (KPIs) for both the customer contract and the business. Maintain good customer, staff, and public relations and ensure operations meet the Company’s contractual obligations, revenue targets, and profit targets.
Responsibilities
* Meet all agreed performance and business targets through the management of resources within your area of responsibility.
* Proactively monitor and evaluate actual business performance against targets/objectives/budgets, and set action plans to continually improve performance.
* Ensure performance information is processed, recorded accurately, and forwarded to the appropriate recipients within specified timescales.
* Lead, coach and motivate all team members to maximize performance standards by setting stretching goals and targets.
* Ensure all personnel receive appropriate reviews, training, and guidance to carry out their roles effectively.
* Maintain a high level of staff morale through motivation and discipline, ensuring formal performance appraisals are conducted.
* Ensure personnel comply with Company policies, procedures, and agreements, aligned with statutory regulations and legislation.
* Plan and maintain resources at a sufficient level to meet customer demand and business needs through high-quality recruitment, focused retention, and general staff planning.
* Aim to develop and maintain positive working relationships with customers, local authorities, and other external bodies to promote the Company and develop business opportunities.
* Respect the confidential nature of information encountered in carrying out duties.
* Share best practice across the organisation and contribute at periodic district/UK meetings/reviews.
* Recruit and develop all team members, mentor potential successors, and develop succession options to support business growth and potential promotions.
