Design, develop, troubleshoot, and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc. As a member of the software engineering division, you will assist in defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, debugging or designing of software applications or operating systems. Provide technical leadership to other software developers. Specify, design and implement modest changes to existing software architecture to meet changing needs.Duties and tasks are varied and complex needing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. Will have project lead role and or supervise lower-level personnel. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area.

Object Storage is a highly scalable and performant public facing service for storing unlimited amount of unstructured data. Components include Web Servers, Storage Servers, Cloud Gateways, and Bulk Import Appliances. You will own oversee their use by customers in a production environment. Responsibilities:
Solve customer issues by driving for solutions with existing features or by getting engineering team involved
Engage with customers on zoom calls and live debug customer problems
Simulate a customer environment in a lab, reproduce problems, find solutions/gaps, create POC’s, and escalate bugs to Engineering teams
Create tooling to troubleshoot issues and scripts to address common use cases
Use in-depth OCI Knowledge to present useful OCI features the customer may not be aware of or provide best-practice guidance in the use of OCI in general
Create Application Specific documentation for common applications using OCI storage
Identifying real customer problems that could be addressed with engineering changes
Presentations/Education to storage engineering teams on how customers are using storage products
Develop a passion for educating, training, and enabling cloud solutions experts for a challenging set of customers and circumstances
Work with customer support to enhance their processes and triaging workflows so as to minimize time to resolution for the customer. Provide guidance/documentation to ensure proper information collection and routing
Be the voice of customers to Oracle’s various cloud engineering teams
Leads deep dives into events during calls and in support of CAPA
Works independently with minimum directions
Minimum Qualifications:
8+ years of experience in an IT, platform environment working with large Enterprises
Significant experience involving Compute, Networking and Storage services as well as a working knowledge of security and compliance issues
Deep understanding of cloud competitive landscape; customer priorities and challenge
Strong Communication, Presentation, and speaking skills
Ability to create detailed customer engagement plans to keep up with the high velocity of features being delivered on the platform
