Job Opportunity: Site Manager

We are currently recruiting multiple site managers in Newton Abbot, South Devon, for the expansion of HMP Channings Wood. This role involves working on a major government construction project, delivering state-of-the-art facilities including two new fully electric, energy-efficient X-shaped T60 houseblocks.

Type: Permanent, full-time
Responsibilities
As a site manager, reporting to the Project Manager, your main responsibilities will include:
* Managing and directing sub-contractor partners to ensure safe work package delivery,
* Checking work carried out by sub-contractors to ensure it aligns with programme design drawings and quality standards,
* Reviewing risk assessments and method statements from sub-contractors to ensure safe working methods,
* Conducting toolbox talks and site inductions to ensure compliance with Kier standards,
* Coordinating site logistics, including movement of plant and labour, to maintain safety on site.
Candidate Requirements
This role is ideal if you have:
* Relevant construction qualification (HND/Degree/SVQ) or technical trade or equivalent,
* SMSTS 5-day certification,
* CSCS Card,
* First aid training.
