Role Overview
As a Sous Chef, you are part of the management team responsible for managing all aspects of the kitchen to deliver an excellent Guest and Member experience. You will also ensure that all operational F&B Outlets are managed properly. Your key responsibilities include:
* Ensuring adequate resources are available according to business needs
* Managing food provision to Food and Beverage outlets and ensuring compliance with legislation
* Controlling costs without compromising standards, improving gross profit margins and other targets
* Keeping team members updated on menu items, promotions, functions, and events
* Maintaining good communication and work relationships across hotel departments
* Maintaining staffing levels to meet business demands
* Complying with security, fire regulations, health, safety, and food safety legislation
* Addressing maintenance, hygiene, and hazard issues promptly
* Adhering to food control systems to meet margin targets
What Are We Looking For?
A Hilton Sous Chef works on behalf of our Guests and collaborates with Team Members. To succeed, you should embody the following attributes:
* Experience in busy hotel operations
* Experience managing a kitchen and developing chefs
