I am recruiting for a Sales Executive on behalf of my client, a global leader in scientific software for drug discovery. This role is focused on selling a cloud-based computational platform to PhD-level scientists and research labs across Europe.
The Sales Executive will take ownership of a high-value territory, managing complex sales cycles and developing long-term customer relationships within the scientific and pharmaceutical R&D community.
This is a remote role and will require regular European travel (up to 50%).
Key Responsibilities:
* Sell scientific software solutions into the drug discovery space.
* Manage large, multi-stakeholder deals, often valued over $2M.
* Build relationships with research scientists, lab managers, and executive stakeholders.
* Coordinate software evaluations with technical and applications teams.
* Drive new business while nurturing renewals and upsells.
* Represent the company at scientific conferences and events.
Requirements:
* 10+ years in scientific, software, or instrumentation sales into drug discovery or life sciences.
* Strong understanding of the drug discovery ecosystem and lab workflows.
* Proven success managing complex sales with technical and financial stakeholders.
* Scientific degree (preferably in chemistry or biology).
* Excellent communication, organisation, and CRM skills.
* Confident working independently across a technical customer base.
