Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Site Manager / H&S Coordinator to be a part of the Maintenance Department and works in close collaboration with the Maintenance Contracts Manager, Programs Manager, Mechanical Supervisors, Planner/Coordinator, and QSHE team to ensure the effective delivery of reactive, quoted/planned, and emergency maintenance contracts.
Duties
* Define Scope of Works: Lead the development of a clear and detailed scope of works based on RFI and site survey data
* Quotation Preparation: Prepare cost estimates using Job Logic and share with clients, especially for works under £50k.
* CPP Development and Approval: Create Construction Phase Plans in compliance with CDM Regulations 2015 and secure necessary approvals
* RAMS Development and Approval: Draft and review Risk Assessments and Method Statements tailored to planned works, in collaboration with the Gas Compliance Officer.
* Oversee and manage the safe execution of works on site in line with method statements and risk assessments.
* Conduct site surveys and assessments to identify risks and requirements.
* Monitor and enforce compliance with Health & Safety, Environmental and Quality standards
* Lead daily site briefings and toolbox talks
* Conduct regular site inspections and audits, reporting findings and corrective actions
* Ensure all works comply with SFG20, HSE requirements, and EWC's IMS policies
* Liaise with the QHSE Advisor to promote a strong safety culture
* Coordinate with suppliers, contractors and internal teams
* Ensure that the project is delivered on time, within scope and budget
* Maintain accurate site records and progress reports
* Draft Invoice Preparation: Generate draft invoices for internal review, ensuring consistency with quoted terms.
* Assist in the investigation and reporting of accidents and incidents
* Ensure materials and resources are used efficiently
* Ensure all activities align with EWC's Integrated Management System and client expectations.
* Champion best practices and continuous improvement on site
* Attend regular management, H&S, client, and internal coordination meetings
KNOWLEDGE
* SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) certified (E)
* NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent (D)
* Strong knowledge of CDM Regulations and relevant H&S legislation (E)
* Proven understanding of ISO 45001, 14001, and 9001 standards (E)
* Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) (E)
* Understanding of construction processes and sequencing (E)
* Membership of IOSH or similar professional body (D)
* Temporary Works Coordinator certification (D)
* Incident investigation and root cause analysis skills (D)
SKILLS
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Proficiency in risk identification, producing method statements, and compliance assessment
* Ability to manage contractors, resolve issues, and drive performance
* Organisational and planning skills to manage multiple site activities
* Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
* Adaptability to varying project and site conditions.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £30,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
