Your new company
You will be joining a respected main contractor with a strong presence in commercial new‑build and fit‑out projects across Scotland. They have secured a major retail development in Dunfermline and are now looking for an experienced freelance Site Manager to lead the project from site start through to handover. This contract will run for approximately 12 months, with work due to begin at the end of April.
Your new role
As the Site Manager, you will take full responsibility for managing the day‑to‑day running of a new‑build retail unit. This will include overseeing subcontractors, driving the programme, ensuring high standards of health & safety, coordinating site logistics and ensuring the project is delivered on time and to specification. You will be the key representative on site and will work closely with the project team to maintain progress and quality throughout the build.
What you'll need to succeed
* Proven experience managing new‑build commercial projects
* Strong subcontractor management and communication skills
* A solid understanding of health & safety procedures
* SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid certification
* The ability to work independently and maintain high site standards
* Experience delivering fast‑paced retail or steel‑frame projects is highly advantageous.
