About the job:
We are delighted that due to our continuing success we are growing our team and we are looking for an exceptional HR manager to join us at McMillan and Associates Ltd. Reporting to Zoe Nicholl you will be expected to be able to be on site at our offices at Clifton Moor York and travel to local clients. You will be responsible for supporting retainer clients across the UK and be the point of contact for all HR queries.
Working alongside our HR Advisor and HR Manager, you will need to have a proven background in developing your team members.
We are seeking a commercial HR professional and will be CIPD qualified. You will have a hands-on, practical approach and can thrive in a busy and diverse environment. You will need to have a proven background in building relationships with key stakeholders.
You must have proven stakeholder management skills in order to be successful in this role, which will require you to build credible and lasting relationships.
You must be comfortable with complex ER cases if they arise.
HR Manager - about you:
As HR manager you will assist with the overall HR operations, managing HR practices, processes, and strategies. You will have the ability to work autonomously, to prioritise your time. You need to be comfortable representing McMillan and Associates Ltd when attending client meetings on site.
Responsibilities include: training, employee relations, compliance, benefits, culture, policies and services. Additionally, they will manage complex employee relation casework, including disputing resolutions, disciplinaries, grievances, absence, sickness and retirement.
Requirements:
* CIPD level 7 qualified or CIPD level 5 qualified with equivalent experience
* Experience working in commercial sector
* Significant and demonstrable experience of managing employee relation cases
* Excellent communication skills to translate complex HR issues into practical solutions and advice for clients
The role is offered on a part time basis, working 12 hours per week. This is within business hours, Monday - Friday 8:30am-5:30pm.
Estimated salary : £41,000-£53,000 pro rata
