Learning Support Assistant Are you looking for a fulfilling role where you can make a genuine difference to young people's lives? We are recruiting a dedicated and empathetic Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming SEN school near Borehamwood this September.
You'll be supporting students aged 4-18 with a range of additional needs including autism, PDA, ADHD, OCD and associated complex learning or behavioural difficulties.
Contract: Full-time, Term-Time Only| Temp to Perm
Hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00-16:00 (term-time only)
05 - £90 per day (inclusive of holiday pay)
Provide one-to-one and small group support in and out of the classroom
Assist pupils with communication, emotional regulation, and daily routines
Follow behaviour support plans and use de-escalation strategies
Support learning activities and adapt resources to suit individual needs
Help pupils build confidence and independence in a structured, nurturing setting
Provide personal care support where required
Work closely with teachers, therapists and pastoral staff to ensure consistent support
Maintain accurate records of pupil progress and wellbeing
Some experience supporting children or young people with SEND (personal or professional)
A good understanding of autism, child development and safeguarding practices
GCSEs in English and Maths (Grade 4/C or above, or equivalent)
Ability to reliably travel to the rural location
