Quality Engineer - Contract (6 months, ongoing)
Location: LincolnContract Length: 6 months, potential to extend Hours: 37+ hours per weekSector: Aerospace
Rate: £38 p/h -£43 p/h
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Quality Engineer to join an established manufacturing business supporting high-reliability aerospace components within a highly regulated environment.
This position will play a key role in supporting quality assurance activities across the full product lifecycle, from development through to production and final release. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive compliance, continuous improvement, and robust quality processes.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead root cause investigations and corrective actions using structured problem-solving methodologies
* Support non-conformance investigations and quality improvement activities
* Conduct internal product and process audits
* Raise and manage supplier quality notifications
* Support supplier quality audits and ongoing supplier performance activities
* Assist with maintaining and improving the Quality Management System
* Analyse quality data and support KPI development
* Promote quality awareness and compliance across the business
Requirements
* Minimum 5 years' experience within a manufacturing environment
* Conversant with problem-solving methodologies (8D, 5Why, RCCA etc.)
* Strong working knowledge of AS9100
* Experience with AS9102 standards would be advantageous
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to work across multiple teams
* High attention to detail and ability to work independently
