Job Title: Site Manager\n\nLocation: Northwest\n\nEmployment Type: Permanent\n\nSalary: £40,000 - £45,000 + package\n\nStart Date: July 2025\n\nCompany Overview\n\nOur client is a well-established contractor with a strong presence across the Northwest, delivering high-quality public sector and education-based construction projects. With a growing project pipeline and upcoming works scheduled, they are seeking a dedicated Site Manager to join their team on a permanent basis.\n\nRole Overview\n\nAs Site Manager, you will take full responsibility for day-to-day site operations, initially managing a refurbishment project on a school. You will oversee the delivery of works across sectors including education (schools, universities, laboratories), public-sector residential (multi-room), and new build schemes.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nManage on-site activities to ensure safe, timely, and high-quality delivery of projects\n\nCoordinate subcontractors and direct trades\n\nWork closely with project leadership, reporting to the Contracts Manager\n\nEnsure compliance with health & safety procedures and project specifications\n\nDeliver refurbishment, new build, and fit-out works across project values of £1m-£5m\n\nMaintain detailed site records, progress updates, and attend client meetings\n\nKey Requirements\n\nProven experience managing education construction projects, including refurbishment of schools, universities, and laboratories\n\nExperience with multi-room residential and new build public sector projects\n\nCivils and fit-out background essential\n\nTrade background required - joinery preferred\n\nStrong leadership, communication, and organisation skills\n\nFlexibility to work across the Northwest as required\n\nQualifications & Certifications\n\nValid CSCS card\n\nSMSTS certification\n\nFirst Aid at Work certification\n\nEnhanced DBS preferred (especially for education sites)
