South Staffordshire College is relocating to a new building in the centre of Tamworth in August 2025. The new college building will have a canteen serving food, drinks and snacks to the college community of staff and students. As part of the service, the College is looking for a Catering Manager who will deliver an excellent level of service and product as well as managing the Catering Team. The Catering Manager will have experience of managing teams, planning and procuring for menus, food preparation and production and will also work closely with the College's Catering Training Department to provide opportunities for College students to gain work experience and produce food for the canteen. As a new operation in a newly built college, you will have the opportunity to shape and organise the new canteen. The Catering Manager/Chef should have at least 5 years' experience as a catering manager in a catering team, preferably in an educational setting. The successful candidate will have a strong customer service ethic and will be able to work well in a team and also on their own initiative.
