Job Summary
We are seeking a part time dedicated and passionate Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes, ensuring high standards of food quality and safety. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in food preparation and kitchen experience to develop their skills within a professional environment. The successful applicant will contribute to creating a welcoming dining experience for our customers through their culinary expertise and attention to detail. Days / hours will be discussed at interview but will include some bank holidays & weekends.
Responsibilities
* Prepare ingredients and cook meals according to specified recipes and standards
* Assist in the organisation and maintenance of the kitchen, ensuring cleanliness and hygiene are upheld at all times
* Monitor food safety practices, including proper storage, handling, and sanitation procedures
* Collaborate with team members to ensure timely meal preparation during busy periods
* Serve dishes to customers in a courteous and professional manner when required
* Maintain stock levels, report shortages, and assist with inventory management
* Follow all health and safety regulations to prevent accidents or contamination within the kitchen environment
Skills
* Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or culinary roles
* Min 1 years experience of working in a fast paced kitchen
* Strong knowledge of food safety standards and best practices
* Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
* Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
