Rail ¦ Civils Asset Management

Location – Warrington, North West

Region – North West & Central

Business Unit

AmcoGiffen is a strategic and collaborative contractor of choice supporting industry‑leading infrastructure clients on an array of critical maintenance frameworks and capital delivery projects. Workstreams are across various markets including rail, highways, environmental, canals and rivers, aviation, power, electrical vehicle infrastructure and mechanical & electrical engineering. The North West & Central region possesses a strong portfolio of infrastructure projects and framework contracts in rail following recent CP7 contract award, as well as a portfolio of non‑rail, civil engineering works. Works within the region include bridges, embankments, stations, platforms, tunnels, structural steel installations, moving structures etc. The business unit is involved in multi‑disciplinary civils projects across the region, whether infrastructure projects or maintenance works, working with a variety of clients and tier 1 contractors.

Due to continued growth and CP7 contract award in the NW&C region, an exciting opportunity for an experienced Site Manager to join our team in the region, working on a portfolio of rail / civil engineering & buildings asset management, maintenance & renewals projects.


Role

As Site Manager you will be directly responsible for the daily management of rail, civils asset management, maintenance & renewals works within the regional portfolio of work. Primarily dedicated to delivering small works within the drainage and off‑track portfolio such as level crossing, fencing and also civils asset management / building asset management works as required.


Day to day responsibilities

* Ensuring that the contract is executed in accordance with the requirements of:
o All applicable legislation
o The Terms and Conditions of the Contract
o The Contract Health and Safety Plan
o The Work Package Plans and Task Briefing Sheets
o The Contract Quality / Environmental Plan
* Delivery of the contract within programme and budget.
* Liaison with site staff and managing surveyor to ensure tender allowances are not exceeded.
* Continuous monitoring of contract progress to ensure contract objectives are being met.
* Ensuring that, in conjunction with the site team, changes to the contract are identified, agreed and effectively managed.
* The provision of formal reports on contract progress to the Project and Contracts Managers.


Requirements

* SMSTS
* PTS
* Degree / HNC or HND in civil engineering (or equivalent compensating experience in a technical engineering role)
* Experience as a Site Manager in a civil engineering contracting environment.
* Experience in a similar role working on multi‑disciplinary civils and building maintenance projects.
