HR Officer – Leeds (Hybrid Working) We're delighted to be working in partnership with a respected professional services organisation in Leeds as they look to appoint a talented HR Officer to join their growing people team. This is a full-time, permanent role (35 hours per week) offering a salary of £38,000 – £42,000 DOE, alongside a hybrid working model with 2 days per week working from home. Reporting to the Head of HR, you'll play a key role in shaping the HR function. Acting as the trusted first point of contact for managers, you'll help them lead confidently, address challenges early, and bring out the best in their teams. This role offers real opportunity to make an impact across wellbeing, DEI, reward, learning and development, and HR projects. Key Responsibilities Act as a positive, approachable first point of contact for people-related queries, building manager confidence and capability Provide clear, practical HR advice grounded in strong employment law knowledge Deliver HR best-practice workshops and coaching-style sessions to support manager development Support managers in preparing for and navigating sensitive or complex conversations Champion organisational values and help foster an inclusive, engaged and supportive culture Lead DEI initiatives, identifying actions that drive meaningful and measurable progress Design and deliver the annual wellbeing strategy, introducing initiatives that support colleague health and performance Support the development of reward and recognition programmes that ensure colleagues feel valued Help embed effective performance, development and talent planning processes Contribute to M&A activity including due diligence, cultural assessment, onboarding and integration Lead and support HR projects across culture, engagement, wellbeing and continuous improvement Contribute to engagement surveys, salary review cycles, award submissions and key annual events About You CIPD Level 5 qualified (or equivalent experience) A confident communicator Strong knowledge of employment law Comfortable coaching managers through sensitive or complex people matters Enjoys variety, problem-solving and being a supportive partner to the business Passionate about wellbeing, culture, DEI and proactive people development Highly organised, positive and able to manage multiple priorities effectively Experience in M&A or strategic HR projects is advantageous, or a strong desire to gain exposure in these areas
