We’re working with a UK-based business going through a major technology transformation, moving away from third-party reliance and bringing software development in-house.
This is a newly created role where you’ll take ownership of building internal capability, shaping how software is developed, and leading the delivery of new products from the ground up.
The Role
You’ll be the senior technical figure within the development function, working closely with the wider business to design and build new applications, while establishing best practices across delivery, architecture, and team structure.
This is a hands-on role — ideal for someone who enjoys both coding and shaping direction, that can in the near future become a Lead/Principal.
Key responsibilities include:
* Leading the development of new, greenfield applications
* Bringing previously outsourced development in-house
* Designing scalable solutions using modern architecture approaches
* Working across C#, .NET, SQL Server and Azure
* Contributing to microservices-based architecture and containerised environments (Kubernetes)
* Supporting and mentoring developers as the team grows

* Strong experience in .NET development (C#)
* Experience designing and building scalable applications
* Exposure to modern architectures (microservices, cloud-native)
* Experience working in Agile environments
* Comfortable taking ownership and shaping technical direction
