Site Manager – Tier 1 Main Contractor Central Belt, Scotland (projects across Falkirk, West & East Central Belt) Interviews taking place next week A leading Tier 1 construction contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Site Manager to support a strong pipeline of upcoming projects across Scotland’s Central Belt. Works include schools, fire stations, and other public sector / commercial schemes, with multiple sites coming live. This is a generic Site Manager role due to the variety of projects, making it ideal for someone with broad Tier 1 main contractor experience who can adapt quickly across different schemes. The Role You will take full responsibility for the safe, high-quality delivery of projects on site, managing programme, subcontractors, logistics, and stakeholder relationships while supporting commercial and client objectives. Key Responsibilities * Lead and own site Health & Safety culture, including inductions, audits, TBTs, RAMS, permits, and CDM duties * Drive programme delivery through short-interval planning, lookaheads, sequencing, and resourcing * Manage and coordinate subcontractors, including pre-start meetings, performance, QA sign-off, and progress tracking * Champion quality assurance, including ITPs, inspections, benchmarks, commissioning readiness, and O&M collation * Maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships, producing reports and attending progress meetings * Oversee site logistics, including traffic management, cranage, waste control, and environmental measures * Support commercial processes, including valuations, variations, EWNs/CEs, and defect planning * Coordinate design information, handling RFIs, NCRs, buildability feedback, and change management * Manage project close-out, including snagging, testing, commissioning, training, and handover documentation Requirements Essential * CSCS (Manager / Black or equivalent) * SMSTS * First Aid at Work Desirable * Temporary Works Coordinator (TWC) * Scaffold Inspection * Fire Marshal * Environmental qualifications (e.g. SEATS) * Mental Health First Aid Experience * 5–10 years’ experience in a Site Manager role * Proven background delivering projects for a Tier 1 main contractor * Strong track record in H&S, quality, and programme delivery Why Apply? * Long-term pipeline of work across the Central Belt * Strong, well-established contractor with a recognised people-focused culture * Immediate interview availability and fast-moving appointment If you’re available or open to hearing more, CVs are being reviewed now with interviews scheduled for next week
