Monarch Education is partnering with a Primary School in Northfield to recruit a full-time Learning Mentor. The school is seeking a Learning Mentor to support students' social, emotional, and behavioural development. The candidate will hold a Level 3 Qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning, or an equivalent qualification in a related field. Experience supporting children to promote behaviour and resilience is also required. This role involves working with pupils who need additional support to access learning. Responsibilities include providing one-to-one and group mentoring, implementing behaviour management strategies, developing social skills, and collaborating with teachers and families to support a positive learning environment. Job Specification Position: Learning Mentor Location: Northfield Hours: Full-Time Salary: Dependent on experience Main Duties and Responsibilities: Support pupils with social, emotional, and behavioural needs to improve engagement and participation Deliver one-to-one and small group mentoring sessions focused on developing resilience, confidence, and social skills Assist teachers in managing classroom behaviour and supporting a supportive environment Develop and implement behaviour support plans in collaboration with school staff and external agencies Support pupils with additional needs, including those with SEND, to access the curriculum and participate in school activities Maintain records of interventions and progress Support a safe and inclusive school environment Candidate Requirements: Level 3 Qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning or an equivalent qualification in a related field such as pastoral support with children Experience supporting pupils with social, emotional, and behavioural needs in a UK primary school Knowledge of behaviour management strategies and emotional support techniques Strong communication and relationship-building skills Proactive attitude Ability to work as part of a team Monarch Education are proud to be a leading recruitment specialist in the Education industry.
