Guildhall Feoffment Preschool and Nursery Address: Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk IP33 2BA Salary: £14 per hour Hours: 35 hours per week Contract: Permanent, required as soon as possible Reference: 5163 Guildhall Feoffment Preschool and Nursery are looking for a warm, passionate, and organised Preschool and Nursery Cook to join our friendly team. This is a wonderful opportunity for someone who enjoys preparing delicious, home-cooked meals and understands the importance of healthy nutrition in the Early Years. You will play a key role in providing balanced meals and snacks for our children, ensuring all food is prepared to a high standard and meets current nutritional guidelines. Your responsibilities will include: preparing and cooking fresh, home-cooked meals and snacks in the nursery kitchen planning menus that meet Early Years nutritional requirements maintaining high standards of food hygiene and kitchen cleanliness managing food orders and stock levels by completing a twice weekly food shop catering for children with allergies and special dietary requirements working closely with the nursery team to support the wider nursery environment. We are looking for someone who is: Friendly, bubbly, and approachable Passionate about cooking nutritious meals for young children Well organised and able to work independently A great team player who enjoys being part of a close-knit, supportive team Knowledgeable about food hygiene and safety standards You must be available to work school holidays.
