Your new companyYou will be joining a well-established and highly respected civil engineering contractor based in Birmingham recognised for delivering high-quality infrastructure projects across the Midlands. This multi-accredited contractor is well-known for their commitment to quality, safety and innovation as well as valuing its people and investing in their professional development. They have a strong pipeline of work, offer excellent opportunities for career progression and, as part of their continued growth, they are actively seeking a Site Manager to join their delivery team.
This is a full-time permanent position based in the Solihull area.
Your new roleAs Site Manager, you will take full responsibility for the day-to-day management and delivery of civil engineering works on site. Leading from the front, you will ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards, while driving productivity and maintaining strong relationships with subcontractors and stakeholders.
Key responsibilities will include:
* Managing all on-site civils activities, including earthworks, drainage, concrete and infrastructure works
* Leading and supervising site teams, engineers and subcontractors
* Ensuring strict adherence to health, safety and environmental standards
* Coordinating works in line with programme and resolving any delivery challenges
* Reviewing and implementing RAMS, ITPs and project documentation
* Maintaining high standards of quality control and site reporting
* Liaising with project stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
What you'll need to succeedIn order to be successful, you must have:
* Proven experience as a Site Manager within heavy civils, ideally on large-scale infrastructure projects
* Strong technical knowledge across heavy civils (earthworks, drainage, reinforced concrete, foundations)
* Track record of successfully managing teams and coordinating site activities
* Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills
* CSCS, SMSTS, First Aid and a full UK driving licence.
