We are looking for a proactive and organised Site HR Administrator to join our busy operations team at Humber Ports. This is a fast-paced, site-based role where you will play a key part in delivering efficient HR administrative support and ensuring a positive employee experience.
1. Location: Killingholme (DN40)
2. Salary: £28,000 – £30,000 per annum
3. Hours: 40 hours per week (between 8:00am – 6:00pm)
4. Contract Type: Permanent
About the Role
Working closely with the People Operations Manager and wider site teams, you will support day-to-day HR processes, manage employee queries, and help ensure all people-related activities run smoothly and compliantly.
Key Responsibilities will include:
HR Administration
5. Provide accurate and professional HR administrative support on site
6. Maintain employee records, personnel files, and HR systems
7. Prepare and issue routine HR documentation
8. Process starters, leavers, transfers, and contractual changes
9. Ensure all HR administration is completed in line with deadlines and procedures
10. Maintain filing systems in line with GDPR requirements
Employee Support
11. Act as the first point of contact for HR-related queries on site
12. Respond to queries regarding onboarding, contracts, payroll, and absence
13. Escalate complex issues where appropriate
14. Build strong working relationships with employees and managers
Onboarding & Inductions
15. Coordinate and support onboarding for all new starters
16. Liaise with Head Office Recruitment and Compliance teams
17. Deliver site inductions and ensure all documentation is complete
18. Ensure new starters are fully prepared for day one
Uniform & Equipment
19. Issue uniform and PPE in line with site processes
20. Maintain accurate records of issued items
21. Monitor stock levels and arrange replenishment
22. Support a smooth and organised onboarding experience
Compliance & Record Keeping
23. Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee documentation
24. Support audit readiness and reporting requirements
25. Ensure compliance with company policies and GDPR
About You?
26. Previous experience in HR, site, or office administration
27. Experience working in a fast-paced environment
28. Experience Handling high volumes of administrative tasks and employee queries
29. Experience supporting onboarding or induction processes
30. Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
31. Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
32. Confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills
33. Discreet and professional when handling confidential information
34. Proficient in Microsoft Office and administrative systems
The site location is not accessible via public transport. The successful candidate must hold a Driving licence and have access to a vehicle.
