Key Responsibilities
* Carrying outgeneral maintenance and repairs(plumbing, basic electrics, joinery, decorating)
* Ensuring allhealth & safety standardsare met across the building
* Performingroutine checkson equipment, fire systems, lighting, and safety features
* Maintaining outdoor areas (gardens, pathways, fencing)
* Responding quickly tourgent repair issuesto minimise risk to residents
* Supporting infection control by ensuring fixtures and fittings are safe and hygienic
* Liaising with external contractors when specialist repairs are required
Skills & Requirements
* Practical experience in general maintenance or handyman work
* Basic knowledge ofhealth & safety regulations(especially in care settings)
* Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks
* Good communication skills and a respectful approach when working around vulnerable residents
* Reliability and attention to detail
