SR163 PC Site Manager (M&E) Location: Necton, Norfolk (PE37) Rate: £475 per day Contract Type: Outside IR35, site-based, contract Duration: 6-month contract | Start: ASAP Hours: 50 hours per week (Monday to Friday) MRR Infrastructure is recruiting on behalf of a world-renowned engineering, procurement and construction consultancy delivering major infrastructure schemes across the UK power sector. Their UK operations are known for delivering complex substation, overhead line and cable projects within National Grid and DNO frameworks, underpinned by a strong focus on safety, compliance and innovation. We are seeking an experienced SR163 PC Site Manager (M&E) to support the delivery of a major 400kV AIS substation extension project in Norfolk. This role is ideal for a proven professional with a strong HV background who is confident managing civil, M&E and commissioning activities in a live substation environment. Role Overview: You will initially serve as the M&E Manager under the Civil-biased PC Site Manager, transitioning into the lead SR163 PC Site Manager as the project enters the mechanical and electrical phase. Key Responsibilities: * Lead all aspects of M&E site operations, including safety, quality, scheduling and productivity * Direct subcontractors and delivery teams to ensure works are delivered on time and to specification * Enforce compliance with CDM regulations, SHEQ standards and National Grid procedures * Maintain high-quality internal and external reporting, records and documentation * Liaise effectively with stakeholders including clients, customers, local authorities and enforcement agencies * Manage inspections, audits, resource allocation and site rosters * Supervise and support sub-contractors to ensure performance meets contractual expectations * Contribute to the achievement of agreed KPIs and drive continuous improvement on site * Ensure all toolbox talks, briefings and site communications are delivered appropriately Requirements: * Minimum 8 years’ HV experience and 5 years in HV substation site management * Strong knowledge of HV, LV, civil and M&E disciplines * Experience with National Grid sites and procedures (SR163 or previous TP137 appointment) * National Grid Competent Person NSI 6 & 8 (Full) * HNC/HND in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent experience) * IOSH Managing Safely or SMSTS * Valid CSCS or CCNSG Safety Passport * Temporary Works Coordinator/Supervisor certification * First Aid (3-day), HSG47, and knowledge of impressed voltages * NEBOSH (desirable) * Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills * Full UK driving licence Additional Information: * Site-based role requiring physical mobility on construction terrain * Expectation of up to 100% UK travel depending on project needs * Candidate must be able to arrange their own travel and accommodation
