Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Site Manager to lead the successful delivery of construction projects, overseeing all site operations and ensuring works are completed safely, on time, to a high standard, and within budget.
This is a key leadership role responsible for managing site teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders while driving programme performance, quality, and project success.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage day-to-day site operations and take overall responsibility for project delivery.
* Lead site teams and subcontractors, ensuring clear communication and efficient coordination of works.
* Ensure full compliance with health and safety legislation, company procedures, and industry best practice.
* Liaise with design, commercial, and project teams to manage drawings, specifications, and technical queries.
* Monitor project programmes, producing short-term look-ahead schedules and identifying potential risks or delays.
* Maintain quality standards through inspections, defect management, and completion processes.
* Identify opportunities to improve productivity, efficiency, and project performance.
* Support project reporting, resource planning, and procurement activities.
* Mentor and develop site teams, promoting a positive and high-performing culture.
Requirements
Essential
* CITB SMSTS qualification.
* Valid CSCS Card.
* First Aid at Work certification.
* Full UK Driving Licence.
* Proven experience as a Site Manager or Senior Site Manager within the construction industry.
* Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
* Excellent understanding of construction programmes, site operations, and health and safety requirements.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office.
Desirable
* Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
* NVQ/SVQ Level 6 in Construction Management (or equivalent).
* Trade background or construction apprenticeship.
* Experience delivering complex or large-scale construction projects.
