Catering Manager – Liverpool
Prospero Teaching are currently recruiting for an experienced Catering Manager to work within a secondary school in Liverpool!
The successful candidate will manage and control the catering services and provide the service for the client according to their specification within the standards laid down by the school.
Key responsibilities include:
1. To ensure prompt and efficient preparations and service of all meals and breaks at the required time. To ensure that they are being provided to the standard laid down by the School and to the School’s satisfaction.
2. Assist with the planning of pupil focused menus which are exciting for both mid-morning break and lunch. Ensuring that they are balanced multi-choice menus, in accordance with nutritional standards, considering the dietary needs and preferences of pupils and varied cultural and religious backgrounds.
3. To manage and motivate the catering team to deliver the catering services to a high standard which achieve the agreed KPI’s daily.
4. Lead the performance management of all catering staff.
5. To maintain the legal and school’s standards of hygiene and safety and take any action as is necessary.

Experience, training and qualifications:
13. Previous experience in a catering management role
14. Previous experience working in a UK school
15. Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (desirable however not essential as some training is provided)
To be eligible for the role through Prospero Teaching you must:
16. Hold Right to Work in the UK
17. Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
18. Provide two professional child related references
