Overview
We are looking for an experienced and reliable skilled Handyman to support our long standing on site in Wigan. The ideal candidate will have a background in joinery and be confident carrying out a wide range of basic trade tasks to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
* Perform general handyman duties including minor repairs, adjustments, and basic maintenance.
* Carry out tasks such as:
o Basic joinery
o Fixing doors, locks, hinges
o Minor painting/decorating
o Basic plumbing tasks (as needed)
o General upkeep and site support
* Maintain a safe and tidy working environment.
* Follow all site safety procedures and report issues or hazards.
* Work independently and manage daily tasks effectively.
Essential Requirements
* Proven experience as a Handyman or general maintenance operative.
* CSCS Card - valid and in date.
* Face Fit certification.
* Strong joinery skills or a joinery background.
* Good all-round basic trade knowledge.
* Ability to work safely and efficiently with minimal supervision.
* Good communication and problem-solving skills.
Desirable
* Experience working on construction or refurbishment projects.
* Own basic tools.
