Head of People
About the Role Join our rapidly expanding network of schools as Head of People. You'll build scalable people processes for our current team of ~500 people across multiple locations as we grow to 4+ schools. This is a hands-on role where you'll leverage technology and AI to work smarter while keeping our team lean.
Key Responsibilities
Talent & Leadership
* Lead recruitment for critical roles using our ATS with candidate matching (Empathix)
* Build leadership capability at principal/school head level through coaching programs
* Design onboarding processes and manage organizational design aligned with budget and strategy
Employee Experience
* Handle day-to-day employee relations across multiple school locations
* Implement performance management, 360-feedback systems, and engagement surveys
* Manage disciplinary procedures, exit processes, and culture initiatives
Process & Automation
* Build efficient workflows using low-code/no-code tools and AI optimization
* Create replicable processes that scale across 4+ schools
* Identify cost reduction opportunities through data analysis and automation
Compliance & Operations
* Draft employment contracts, policies, and procedures with legal/finance teams
* Ensure employment law compliance across all locations
* Support board governance and optimize multi-school operational processes
What We're Looking For
* Proven experience scaling people functions in fast-growth organizations (education sector experience highly valued)
* Strategic mindset with exceptional execution skills - you can see the big picture and make it happen
* Experience with HR technology, automation tools, and AI-powered solutions
* Strong understanding of employment law and compliance requirements
* Excellent stakeholder management skills across multiple locations and teams
* Data-driven approach to people analytics and process improvement
* Leadership development and coaching experience
* Ability to thrive in ambiguous, rapidly changing environments
