We are looking for a Manager to lead a small team of Progress Tutors and a number of support interventions to improve student attendance, behaviour, retention, safeguarding and progression. Here’s the standard bit: You will lead a very strong team and play a pivotal role in implementing the careers strategy, design and deliver high quality careers activities across the college. You will be working closely with teaching and support staff to develop students’ careers and progression. You will provide line management, motivate and inspire a team of Advisors to enable them thrive in their role. What you’ll need: Resilience and a highly innovative and motivated approach to careers service delivery, recent experience of providing careers guidance in a relevant setting and coordinating a range of progression related activities. You will need up to date knowledge of careers frameworks such as Gatsby Benchmarks, careers resources, a broad range of qualification structure and progression routes. The successful candidate will hold a Level 6 or above qualification in Careers Guidance (or you will be working towards it). You will also have experience of the issues facing young people with barriers to their learning and progression.
