Description You will support our focus to optimise the current portfolio of extracts as well as develop new extracts using different botanicals and processing. The core use for our extracts is bring flavor and aroma for the Food and Beverage industry. The role will support this goal through combination of project management and practical laboratory work. What you’ll do: Research and development of new botanical extracts and extraction processes Review and optimise current processing in the extracts production Research and development (R&D) of new Natural Extracts and extraction processes Lead in the scale up of new processes and new products to manufacturing through commercialisation process, so that product is transferred right first time Delivery of assigned projects through development of extraction techniques and products from laboratory scale through to manufacture and commercialization Collaboration with technical and manufacturing teams globally to deliver products Maintaining safe working laboratory environment, including laboratory audits, restocking of solvents, raw materials and glassware What you’ll bring: Ideally proven experience of working in the food, beverage or flavor industry within research or new product development Expertise in extraction processes, flavor & fragrances, chemistry, and/or natural products chemistry Understanding of basic scientific principles, flavor regulations and process optimization Project Management, collaboration, customer focus and problem solving Ideally degree or PhD in Chemical Engineering/Science or proven work experience What you’ll get: Opportunity to collaborate with your colleagues, onsite 5 days per week An excellent salary, benefit offering and development opportunities A thorough and effective training experience during onboarding and beyond Opportunity to develop a strong and fulfilling career About Sensient: Sensient Technologies Corporation is a leading global manufacturer and marketer of colors, flavors, and extracts.
